Candy Coated Pretzels or Fruit

This simple method of melting candy coating is so versatile , you can coat just about anything you can dream of. I was introduced to chocolate dipped Sandwich Cookies this past year. YUM! They seemed so special but really took little time. This recipe calls specifically for Eagle Brand Candy Coating. Unfortunately it seems that the product may have been discontinued. You can easily substitute Wilton's candy melts, Chocolate Bark, or any brand of chocolate coating wafers. They can be found at some of the big box stores as well as some craft stores. If you can't find them locally follow some of the links below. Have Fun Playing With This!

Broccoli Cheddar Rolls

Does this post seem out of place? When it was found in Memere's goodies recipe box it seemed so. Given that Memere had not eaten wheat bread products in over 20 years, it is. The recipe must have been a remainder from her younger days. She liked the recipe enough to tape the picture to it. :-) It still sounds great, so it is included, here.

Ingredients For Broccoli Cheddar Divan: 1 Loaf Frozen Bead Dough, Broccoli, Cheddar Cheese, Egg, Instant Minced Onion, Onion Salt & Butter or Margarine.

Bavarian Mint Truffles

Memere loved this recipe! She was so tickled when she realized that making truffles was not all that complicated. Having said that, please read the recipe carefully. The recipe calls for condensed milk not to be confused with evaporated milk. It also lists "Oil of Peppermint" NOT peppermint flavoring. If you can not find "Oil of Peppermint" locally, click on the peppermint bottle it will take you to KingArthurFlourDotCom. You can purchase the oil on line, find great recipes & they even have gluten-free cooking products for those with gluten allergies.
